I have previously been able to use 'copy text from picture' but I have recently changed my language to 'English Australia' and since then the 'copy text from picture' has not worked. I have tried to change the default language back to English United States but when I right click on the image and click on 'Make text in Image searchable' it is ticked on 'disabled' and it will not change when I click on English (united States). I have searched the MS forums and there are many people out there this has happened to without a solution. I have tried what has been suggested in a couple of the online solutions by logging out of Office 365 account and logging back in but no result. Is there anything additional I can do try to get this feature to work again? Thanks Andrew. Hi Justin, I am not able to do the suggested repair to OneNote as I do not have administrator access to my PC settings. This is controlled by my corporate IT administrator. I have tried creating a new notebook but the error is still happening. My version of OneNote is Version 1801 (build 9001.2080 click to run) OneNote 2016 MSO (16.0.9001.2080) 32-bit Product ID: 00***-*****-*****-***03. The error issue happens on all notebooks. Below is a screenshot of what is going on. I have pasted an image into a new notebook. OneNote supports Optical Character Recognition (OCR), a tool that lets you copy text from a picture or file printout and paste it in your notes so you can make. When I right click on the image the selection box below opens. When I select “make text image searchable” there is another selection box which shows that this option is disabled. When I select the option of “English (United States)” it does not change and is always disabled. Andrew [PII is masked by Justin Cavida MSFT Support]. Hi Justin, The Disable text recognition checkbox is UNTICKED. The format of the image is a GIF. There is nothing wrong with teh image as I sent the image to a collegue who pasted the image into his OneNote and it worked on his machine. I have done the image to test many times before. The problem has only occured since I changed my default language to 'English (Australia)'. I have changed it back to English (United States) but this has not fixed the problem. There is a glitch in the program somwhere that is dependant on the default language being English (United States). Get the programmers to fix that glitch and all will be good. Thanks Andrew. Hi Justin, not sure yo are getting it but the right click command is immediately available but the copy text from image is DISABLED AND DOES NOT ALLOW THE SELECTION TO ENABLE IT. THAT IS THE ACTUAL PROBLEM NOT ANYTHING ELSE. The application is click to run and is One drive for business. My colleague uses the same application on the same one drive for business but doesn't have the same problem because his default language language has not changed from English (United States). This is where the problem lies. Nothing else. You seem to be missing this point.
